Professional History

April 1987 to present: Principal of Howe Associates. Howe Associates accomplishes aircraft accident investigation, claims adjusting, claims management and safety surveys for Underwriters both domestic and foreign.

April 1985 to April 1987: Vice President of Certified Claims Corporation. Certified Claims accomplished aircraft accident investigation, claims adjusting, claims management and safety surveys for Underwriters both domestic and foreign.

April 1984 to April 1985: Vice President of Claims NAVCO Corporation and Vice President of Claims of National General Insurance Company. NAVCO and National General writing personal lines, aviation and commercial lines insurance in fifty states.

1979 to April 1984: President and Chief Operating Officer of American Aviation Services Corporation, a subsidiary of NAVCO. Vice President of Claims - NAVCO Corporation and Vice President of National Aviation Underwriters. National Aviation Underwriters specializes in aviation insurance to commercial, fixed base operators and private business and pleasure owners. American Aviation Services Corporation accomplishes accident investigation, safety engineering, claims handling and claims adjusting including safety surveys for Underwriters both domestic and foreign.

1973 to 1978: United States Aviation Underwriters, Inc. Mr. Howe served as the Western Regional Claims Superintendent located in Los Angeles; Vice President and one of the founders of Aerospace Management services International's aircraft accident and safety investigation effort. AMSI is a wholly owned subsidiary of United States Aviation Underwriters. Mr. Howe then relocated to New York to serve in the home office of USAIG as Vice President, Field Claims Offices and exited the company as Vice President of General Aviation.

Prior to 1973, Mr. Howe was an Independent Aviation Insurance Adjuster in Los Angeles, served as Assistant Claims Manager of National Aviation Underwriters. Prior to that involvement Mr. Howe was Assistant Professor at Parks College of Aeronautical Technology of St. Louis University teaching in the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, department of that educational institution. Mr. Howe began his career in aviation in 1958 as a licensed Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic with Cape Central Airways, then situated in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and St. Louis Flying Service, a Piper Dealer located on Lambert Field in St. Louis, Missouri.

Mr. Howe's experience covers most personal and commercial lines of business including products liability, products and completed operations, medical malpractice, workers compensation, SMP/ BAP and specifically all lines of both private and commercial aviation including airlines. Mr. Howe has extensive experience in adjusting both hull and liability claims in aviation and reporting to domestic and foreign Underwriters. During his tenure with National Aviation Underwriters, his position required a close working relationship with foreign and domestic reinsurers including Lloyds, London Underwriters and Professional Reinsurers on the Continent. Mr. Howe's knowledge also extends to providing expert testimony regarding accident reconstruction, policy interpretations, unfair claims practices and bad faith consideration in all lines of insurance.
